The branding of the territorial community of New Kakhovka was implemented by the VictoryHouse design studio in partnership with marketing and sociological research experts from the regional organization “Agency for Regional Development of the Tavria Association of Territorial Communities”
Through research and a series of meetings with city residents, the concept for the territory’s branding was built, "City of a Thousand Springs,” where sources besides water indicate the multidimensionality of the city, which has a short official history but at the same time stands in a place of great and magnificent history.
Philosophy and Meaning of the Logo
There has long been a ferry across the Dnieper, where several trade routes crossed: the Crimean Khanate, the trade route "from the Varangians to the Greeks" and the “Silk Road,” which is also called the “Salt Road.”
Here stood the historical fortresses of Tyagin, Kazi Kermen. Here there were Cossacks (the territory contains many names with the same etymology "Cossack”). This territory is part of Tavria, which is filled with stories and legends of the pre-Christian period.
Springs are the sources, the foundation, the city of power and the place of the beginning of life. Water is the basis of life. The city is based on the foundation of the village Klyuchove, which comes from the word "keys.” The city of Nova Kakhovka is famous for its clear water and springs along the river bank. Outstanding people stand out here, because here is the city of life.
The logo reflects the integrity of the significance of water for the city: the history of creation (a reference to the construction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Station) and water as a symbol of life and renewal of forces (a reference to the clean ecology of the territory and recreational opportunities). Nova Kakhovka is a city of a thousand sources:
- energy sources (hydroelectric power station and the energy that this area provides)
- cultural sources ("stone vyshyvanka”, Grigory and Alexander Dovzhenko, David Burliuk...)
- wine sources (Nova Kakhovka - one of the three guilty points on the map of Ukraine)
- financial sources (opportunities to be an industrialist, a farmer, a freelancer)
- a source of youth (a young city with a lot of youth)
- sources of talent (intellectual, artistic, sport...)
